ABOUT US - Bunny Breeding H.Hoppel
H.Hoppel in an abbreviation for "Hummelberger Hoppel", refering to the little hopping bunnies born at our place. We have rabbits living in our garden since 2010 and at the end of 2012 we had our first litter of teddy dwarf rabbits. The reason for starting to breed was our first teddy bunny "Lilala". I just totally fell in love with her calm, gentle and trusting nature. We live with our animals in the beautiful Pyhrn-Priel region in southern Upper Austria.
Due to certain limitations considering time and space, we only have very few litters each year (if any). This means that first of all we keep dwarf rabbits as loved pets and breeding them is not our main purpose. Nevertheless, in all those years, we had a lot of cute and pretty baby rabbits, both teddy dwarfs and lionhead dwarfs.
Most importantly I want our pets to live a happy, welfare oriented life and our baby bunnies to grow up in a nice environment. Nevertheless even I have decided to set a certain breeding goal, so our few pairings are always planned very carefully. Let's see if I can reach my goal some day, which is to establish the himalayan gene in teddy rabbit breeding (and thus replace the albino gene in the rabbit colours "sable" and "siamese").
Since we cannot keep all the rabbits ourselves, we have both baby bunnies as well as grown rabbits which can move into a nice new home from time to time. If you are interested in one of our bunnies please send me an email: sandra.hummelberger@gmail.com
