General Information

Depending on their level of development, our babies can move to a new home from the age of 8 weeks (if picked up personally). By that time our youngsters are used to eating fresh greens, especially various meadow grasses and herbs, but also vegetables (such as carrots, lettuce, fennel, cucumber, ...) or small quantities of fruit (like apples). Our animals drink from large, heavy cups, which I place a little higher to prevent the water from getting dirty. When we have babys, I also offer water in a bottle with a nipple so they can get used to drinking from it, too. Each rabbit leaving our home receives a pedigree certificate as well as a small portion of the usual dry feed we use for rearing our litter. When our offspring is 11-12 weeks of age, I also agree to hand them over to a responsible carpool. However, the organization and responsibility for such a trip lies with the buyer.

We use the "Natur-Struktur-Müsli" from Nösenberger as breeding feed for our young animals.

Purchase of a Rabbit

As soon as we have a litter on our website, the babies are available to be reserved. I note a request next to the respective baby as "requested". With a deposit of € 20, the baby is then "reserved". The deposit should be made within a week, otherwise I cannot hold the reservation. In case the customer cancels the reservation, the deposit will be still be retained as the animal must be put on sale again. However, should the reserved animal fall ill or die, the deposit will of course be refunded.

I determine the sexes of our babies to the best of my knowledge. In additon the general health of our animals is usually checked again by a veterinarian before their departure. However, there are no guarantees, should I have been mistaken when it comes to gender determination, or should there be any diseases that arise in later development. There is no need to vaccinate rabbits in our region, so our animals are given away unvaccinated.

I assume that the future owners of our dwarf rabbits already know about the specific needs of rabbits and how to care for them or have thoroughly informed themselves beforehand. In addition to the numerous books on rabbits, there is also a wide range of useful information on the Internet. I particularly recommend the following link: www.diebrain.de/k-index.html. Of course, I am also happy to answer any questions before and after the purchase and to pass on personal experiences. If you choose a teddy dwarf rabbit, please note that these animals require regular grooming.

In buying one of our dwarf rabbits, you automatically agree to our conditions of purchase.
